Slackr Studios IS A multidisciplinary design studio founded on the conviction that storytelling is a cultural force—defined by the environments we inhabit, the STYLES we PORTRAY, and the technologies we utilize. We specialize in crafting sensorial environments where narrative, material, and form are inseparable. Every project is a living extension of its community — designed not just for function, but for CULTURAL resonance.

The studio was founded by Nora Fadil, a designer whose perspective is a collision of cultures. Trained at the world’s top architecture institutions, Nora brings the discipline of a former Division I athlete, the curiosity of a scientist, and the VISCERAL instinct of a creative.

We collaborate with a wide range of clients — from emerging brands to cultural pioneers and global tastemakers — all united by a shared pursuit of sophistication and authenticity.

Our process is both rigorous and fluid. We blend in-depth research of history, contemporary culture, and speculative futures with conceptual storytelling and a precise yet artful execution — delivering spaces that are not only visually iconic but culturally significant.

Nora Fadil

Founder & Principal bio

Nora Fadil is a Los Angeles–based Egyptian-American designer. At the heart of her design ethos is the belief that truly meaningful spaces are visceral, sensorial, and rooted in cultural narratives.

Nora’s work reflects a commitment to crafting stories and spaces that balance elegance with edge, specializing in bespoke architectural design, emergent technologies, and visual storytelling. For Nora, architecture is about bridging history and innovation, technology and art, storytelling and spatial experience — not just creating spaces, but crafting culturally significant worlds that are not only visually iconic, but deeply human. Her portfolio spans civic and cultural institutions, high-end residential, luxury hospitality, and international design fairs.

Nora began her undergraduate studies in biology on the pre-med track and competed as a Division I Track & Field athlete at the University of Delaware. Yet, she always maintained a strong affinity for the arts. It wasn’t long before she realized her true calling: to create, build, and shape STORIES through space — a revelation that ultimately led her to architecture.

She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc),then completed her Master’s in Architecture at Columbia University’s GSAPP, where she honed her approach to spatial innovation, across digital and physical realms. Her graduate work culminated in receiving the Honor Award for Design & Visualization — in recognition of excellence in computational media for innovative design, research, and fabrication.

Before founding Slackr in 2025, Nora WORKED AT Gensler (Los Angeles), Adjaye Associates (New York City), and Kelly Wearstler (Los Angeles). During this time, she contributed to projects of significant cultural impact, including Netflix on Vine (LA HQ), the 2023 Venice Biennale, the Cal Neva Resort and Casino (opening 2027), and the St. Elizabeths East Campus Redevelopment in Washington, D.C. Her fluency in emergent technologies also positioned her as a key collaborator on studio initiatives with Adobe, OpenAI, The Business of Fashion, and the University of Texas at Austin.
